Join us for a tour of the Camp Borden museums (Hangar 11 and Military Museum) on Monday, June 22 from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. We start at Hangar 11 which is a restored historic 1917 hangar dedicated to the history of the Royal Canadian Air Force. We then drive to the nearby Base Borden Military Museum where we will see collections of WWI, WWII and modern artifacts, including historic tanks, armored vehicles and aircraft. The museum tells the story of Camp Borden.
There is no cost for the Camp Borden tour, however donations are appreciated.
Lunch to follow (optional) at 12:30 p.m. at Stacked Pancake House in Angus. You will order off their menu and pay at the restaurant.
There are two ticket types for this event. Select the tour only if you just want the tour, or the tour and optional lunch if you want both. By selecting the restaurant option, it allows us to confirm the numbers attending for the restaurant reservation.
Registration is now open and is limited to 25 members. Organized by Stephen and Linda G. The tour runs rain or shine.
