Join us for this popular tour of the robotic engineering company "Impossible Metals" on Wednesday, January 21 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Lunch to follow (optional) at 12:00 p.m. at Georgian Bay Family Restaurant, 401 Hume St., Collingwood.
Impossible Metals builds underwater robotic vehicles that identify and collect metals from the seabed without harming the environment. They have also built the first underwater robotic arm.
The visit will include observation of an operating picking arm submerged in a water tank and real footage from actual tests undertaken in Collingwood Harbour this fall.
After the tour, you also have the option of joining the group for lunch at Georgian Bay Family Restaurant in Collingwood. You will order off their menu and pay at the restaurant.
There are two ticket types for this event. Select the tour only if you just want the tour, or the tour and optional lunch if you want both. By selecting the restaurant option, it allows us to confirm the numbers attending for the restaurant reservation.
There is no cost for the tour and it is limited to 30 people.
Registration opens Friday, Dec. 19th. Organized by Brian.
