Set within one of Canada’s eighteen UNESCO biosphere reserves, lies Scenic Caves Nordic Centre - a spectacular winter playground. The Nordic Centre is nestled in 370 unspoiled acres of the Niagara Escarpment. The mountain top location provides the perfect elevation for reliable snow conditions and consistent temperatures, all season long. Cross Country ski along the 27km trail network or snowshoe on 12km of trails. The trails are professionally groomed and track set daily and include access to Southern Ontario's longest Suspension Footbridge! A wide variety of birds including winter owls, deer, rabbits and other wildlife can be seen during any given winter visit. Guests are welcome!

Snowshoes or Cross Country Skis are required to access the winter trails. You can use your own equipment, or rentals are available on site at an extra cost payable to the resort on the day: Snowshoe rental $24.86, Classic cross country ski rental $34.47 (includes tax).

Barb Euler will be leading the snowshoe group. We are looking for someone to lead the cross country group. Contact gatewayprobusevents@gmail.com to volunteer.

After the morning activities we will warm up by the fire in a cozy private log cabin and enjoy a home made chili lunch, hot chocolate/coffee/tea and desserts organized by our social committee. Lunch will be at noon.  There are washrooms beside the cabin. Cost is $48 for trail fees/cabin/lunch. Cost is $20 for lunch/cabin. The afternoon is yours to explore, you can hang out in the log cabin or go back out on the trails (snowshoe or cross country). We have use of the cabin until 4:30pm. Guests are welcome. Deadline to register is Feb 13th. 

Once you have paid your invoice, tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and have the replacement refund you for the ticket price. The organizers may be able to help you with this by providing a list of members on the waitlist.
