Join Collingwood Museum staff on a guided walking tour of Collingwood on Thursday, August 15th at 10:30 a.m. For those who went on the Historical Walking Tour in June, this is a completely different tour. 

This tour focuses on the impact of the First World War on Collingwood. Travel through history and listen to stories of local soldiers leaving Collingwood at the train station, the crucial role of the Collingwood Shipyards in the war effort, women in the workforce and the movement to honour fallen soldiers.  

The 2 km walking loop takes approximately 1 hour and begins at the Collingwood Museum, continues to the harbour and then proceeds along Hurontario Street.    

After the tour, you also have the option of joining the group for lunch at Fig and Feta Restaurant in downtown Collingwood.  You will order off their menu and pay at the restaurant.  

There are two ticket types for this event.  Select the tour only if you just want the walking tour, or the tour and optional lunch if you want both.  Although you will order off the Fig and Feta menu and pay at the restaurant, by selecting the restaurant option, it allows us to confirm the numbers attending for the restaurant reservation. 

The tour is limited to 40 people and costs $6.00 per person for the walking tour only.
