Theatre Collingwood presents J.S. Bach's Long Walk in the Snow on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 3 PM, at First Presbyterian Church. This is written and performed by Tom Allen - CBC radio host and musician.

Tom Allen's latest 'chamber musical' tells the story of young Johann Sebastian Bach. Before his renowned compositions, Bach faced struggles in his first job, involving a street fight that led to a prolonged absence.  He walked 400 km north to a glittering port city where a wise old teacher lived, and while he was there, it's entirely possible he fell in love.  When he came back, he very quickly became the genius artist we still revere.

J.S. Bach's Long Walk in the Snow combines narration and captivating music, offering a glimpse into Bach's journey, with a talented cast of outstanding musicians.
