Join us for a tour of the Sheffield Park Black History and Cultural Museum in Clarksburg: Followed by an optional lunch at the popular Winifred’s English Pub in Thornbury.
The “Heritage Walk” is comprised of over 15 buildings featuring stone monuments, a pioneer house, stable and livery and even a shoe shine shop. The Wilson sisters, Carolyn and Sylvia have devoted many years in bringing the history of the early black pioneers to Simcoe and Grey County and gave an insightful talk at our PROBUS meeting in May.
Cost is $5.00 for the heritage walk and you pay for your own lunch. Sign up at the July meeting or contact: Sue Niblett
